Professional surfer and shark attack survivor Bethany Hamilton has revealed that she and her husband Adam Dirks are expecting their first child, releasing a very sweet Q&A to share the news with the world.
The 25-year-old, who lost an arm in 2003 during a tiger shark attack, revealed that she and Adam are set to welcome a baby boy in early June.
In a beautiful montage showing her taking to the water, with her baby bump showing through her swimsuit, Bethany says that she will continue on with her daily routine for as long as she can.
“I plan to surf for as long as I can. Once the belly is big I may, like, mellow it out and spend more time swimming and just enjoying the ocean,” she said.
The video gives a lovely insight into the couple’s life together, with their excitement at impending parenthood clear throughout.
