Best ever brownies

100g butter, chopped
200g good quality dark chocolate, chopped
4 eggs
250g golden caster sugar
100g plain flour
1 tsp baking powder
30g cocoa
Heat the oven to 160°C/320°F/gas 4. Line a 22cm square cake tin with baking parchment.
Melt the butter and chocolate together in a bowl set over a pan of simmering water.
Leave to cool to room temperature. Beat the eggs and sugar together using a whisk until the mixture is light and fluffy.
Fold the chocolate mixture into the egg mixture and sift in the flour, baking powder and cocoa.
Then fold it in to give the batter a fudgy texture.
Place in the oven to bake for 25-30 minutes or until the top is cracked but the middle just set.
Leave to cool fully and then lift out of the tin and cut into squares.
