When mum-to-be Camille found out that she was expecting, she wanted to reveal the news to husband Kyle in the most special way possible, but she also wanted it to be a big surprise.
Step up photographer Kendra Swalls, who had long been looking for an opportunity to shoot a pregnancy announcement, and who was only too happy to take charge of the project.
Kendra came up with the concept of getting Camille and Kyle on set for a normal couple’s portrait, wherein she would get them to write down something nice about each other. They would then stand back-to-back and hold up the messages to the camera.
Camille brought Kyle to the shoot on the premise that they were capturing photos for their first holiday card as a married couple, and Kyle played along without hesitation.
On shoot day, Camille wrote her wonderful news on her card, and Kendra captured Kyle’s sweet reaction when he turned around to read it.
“Kyle’s reaction to my note was one of obvious disbelief, at first. I could tell he was trying to wrap his head around my big surprise. After letting it soak in for a few seconds, his reaction turned to sheer excitement, as you can see in the photos,” said a delighted Camille.
In this case, a picture really does paint a thousand words! These are gorgeous.
