The cameras of her reality show have been following every stage of her story, but this week Kim Kardashian spoke candidly on live TV about her struggle to conceive.

Appearing on the Today show, the 34-year-old discussed the possibility of surrogacy and adoption in an attempt to expand her brood.

The mother-of-one told show host Matt Lauer: “They have recommended me to get a surrogate, and I would like to hold out a little bit longer, and still try. I still have hope, so I’m just going to keep on trying.”

When asked by Lauer as to whether she and husband Kanye have considered adoption, she responded: “Never say never.”

Despite her struggle, the star admitted that her fertility issues have moved her to reflect on just how lucky she is to be a mum to 22-month-old daughter North.

“I think you get over it to the point where I’m so blessed that I have one and I don’t want to take my focus off of her so much,” she said.

Kim was recently dealt concerning news, with doctors informing her that due to complications from her first pregnancy, her second child could be her last. The star went on to undergo emergency surgery to remove parts of her placenta that were still attached to her uterus since North’s birth.

We hope that, whatever happens, Kim and Kanye will get the outcome they so dearly wish for.
