We love everything about Disneyland Paris, but Disneyland Park is definitely our favourite area of the French theme park – it does have The Castle, after all!

The first of Disneyland Paris’ two parks, Disneyland Park is divided into five themed ‘lands,’ with each one based on the classic Disney movies we all grew up with. It’s also the place all little princesses want to live.

The park is designed like a wheel, with the Central Plaza in the middle, sitting just in front of Sleeping Beauty’s Castle (Le Château de la Belle au Bois Dormant). Pathways run out of the Central Plaza, like spokes on a wheel, leading into the park’s five lands. Keep in mind that the Disneyland Railroad runs along the outside of the park, stopping in Main Street, U.S.A., Frontierland, Fantasyland and Discoveryland.

Main Street U.S.A

This ‘land’ acts as the main entrance of the park and is where you’ll find the majority of the gift shops, as well as some handy places to grab snacks. The section is themed after a classic turn-of-the-20th-century small American town, with beautiful Victorian architecture and vintage storefronts.

In this land you’ll find:
  • City hall
  • Liberty Arcade
  • Discovery Arcade
  • Dapper Dan's Hair Cuts

MummyPages Tip #1: A Disney insider recommends that when you enter the park, you visit the lands in an anti-clockwise order. People naturally follow a clockwise path, which means you’ll avoid the bulk of the crowds by taking the opposite route.

MummyPages Tip #2: As well as a free Fast Pass, parents can also use the Baby Swap service, which allows both parents to take turns on adult rides without having to queue twice so one can mind the kids.
