Crafts: Tornado in a jar

A craft that doubles-up as a science experiment is always great for a rainy day, and this one is guaranteed to amaze the little ones.

 

What you will need:

• A jar
• Water
• A squirt of washing-up liquid

 

What to do:

1. Fill the jar with cold water from the tap.
2. Add in a squirt of washing-up liquid.
3. Replace the lid, shake the jar vigorously, and watch your tornado swirl inside of the jar.
